Glide not loading data: Failed to connect or obtain data, status code: -1

I am using Glide to load the data from Firestore storage. i have 5 images to load. it sometimes loads 1 or 2 of them, but never all of them. i get these warnings in logcat:

i searched all over the internet, but apart from few github issues, couldn't find anything.
