DirectMethodHandle.checkReceiver takes much time in Java

I see in the flamegraph that the method java.lang.invoke.DirectMethodHandle$Interface.checkReceiver(Object) takes relatively too much CPU time. In my code I use some direct method handles but I do not think that checkReceiver should be so visible in the profile (it is one of top top methods). When that method is used and how can I optimize it out?
