I am following the steps here https://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.6/install-procedure.html .
I am currently on step 1 entering the following command:
./configure --datadir=/Users/username/PostgreSQL_9.6_data --with-pgport=5433
I am getting the following error in config.log.
configure:4039: gcc -o conftest conftest.c >&5
In file included from conftest.c:18:
/usr/local/include/stdio.h:102:10: fatal error: '__config' file not found
#include <__config>

1 error generated.
I know recent macOS versions have moved libraries around. Is there a way around this issue?
If you're wondering why I need version 9.6, it's because we are still using it at work (we're in the process of upgrading) and I need to test some SQL code against it.
