I would like the search engine to work better. eg Now when I type the phrase Pion studio I get entries that do not have this phrase in the text or in the title.
There are my search results: https://www.designalive.pl/?s=pion+studio
I tried some solutions from this thread: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/177183/make-a-wp-query-search-match-exactly-the-search-term But it's not working for me.
EDIT1 When I type phrases in "" for example "Pion studio" the results seems to be good.
EDIT2 When I type two or more words it searches for posts with one OR second word (It should be AND).
Search function in functions.php
function __search_by_title_only( $search, $wp_query )
{
global $wpdb;
if ( empty( $search ) )
return $search; // skip processing - no search term in query
$q = $wp_query->query_vars;
$n = ! empty( $q['exact'] ) ? '' : '%';
$search =
$searchand = '';
foreach ( (array) $q['search_terms'] as $term ) {
$term = esc_sql( like_escape( $term ) );
$search .= "{$searchand}($wpdb->posts.post_title REGEXP '[[:<:]]{$term}[[:>:]]') OR ($wpdb->posts.post_content REGEXP '[[:<:]]{$term}[[:>:]]')";
$searchand = ' AND ';
}
if ( ! empty( $search ) ) {
$search = " AND ({$search}) ";
if ( ! is_user_logged_in() )
$search .= " AND ($wpdb->posts.post_password = '') ";
}
return $search;
}
add_filter( 'posts_search', '__search_by_title_only', 1000, 2 );
