Slow http calls using javax.ws.rs.client.WebTarget

I am using a javax.ws.rs.client.WebTarget to make http calls. When I measure the time to make this call, it takes about 40ms more that the same call thru postman. I have connection pooling enabled and that's already working. Does anyone know why webtarget is slow? What can I explore to speed it up?
