xmodmap don't work on linux shell of chrome os

chrome os: Version 103.0.5060.15 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)
machine: latest pixelbook go
terminal: build-in linux shell

I want to map keys with xmodmap, and I know firstly check keycode and name with xev.

I put a .sh file to my default directory and execute it. But nothing happened.
And then I look up with xev, the keycode and names have changed, but the keys are actually didn't changed.
What's wrong?

#!/bin/bash
xmodmap -e 'keycode 51 = BackSpace'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 114 = backslash'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 22 = grave'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 49 = Tab'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 23 = Escape'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 9 = Control_L'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 37 = BackSpace'
