My design team has requested I create a linear gradient that looks like attached, the code they provided in XD does not look like that

Now I could send it back to them and ask them to fix it, BUT, I really want to understand how to change this myself.. despite the fact that they reversed the colours, how can I make the feathering effect on the edges?
The dark blue background overlap I have accomplished, so no help needed there, see my other screen for what that gradient looks like now
