Epipolar plane images from a light field image using Python

Viewed 37

I am trying to extract 2 epipolar plane images (horizontal and vertical) with Python, from a light field camera image, also known as a plenoptic image. The plenoptic image has 11x11 directional resolution. From theory: An epipolar image is obtained by fixing one coordinate in p and one coordinate in q and varying the other two. In the image, y is fixed (a line in the image is considered) and below each microlens, is fixed. I attach the image i have and the result I want. Is there a way I can do this? Any suggestions would help. Thank you!

Expected result: the result
