How can I send notification when device enters a specific building in Android with Mapbox?

I am interested in creating an Android application that will send notification every time the device enters a specific type of buildings. For example, when the person enters a museum or library the application will send notification. After I have searched on the internet I found something about Geofencing and Geocoding but I haven't ever work with Maps and I can't understand if any of these two can help me achieve what I want. So, is there a way I can do that? Thanks in advance!
