How can I solve this Flutter SDK version error?

Viewed 1417

The current Flutter SDK version is 0.0.0-unknown.

Because provider 5.0.0 requires Flutter SDK version >=1.16.0 and no versions of provider match >5.0.0 <6.0.0, provider ^5.0.0 is forbidden.

So, because flutter_app depends on provider ^5.0.0, version solving failed.

Pub get failed (1; So, because flutter_app depends on provider ^5.0.0, version solving failed.)

That's the error I’m getting when trying to run 'flutter pub get' in Android Studio.

Below is the pubspec.yaml file:

Please note, I’m running Android Studio on macOS.

name: flutter_app
description: A new Flutter project.

# The following line prevents the package from being accidentally published to
# pub.dev using `flutter pub publish`. This is preferred for private packages.
publish_to: 'none' # Remove this line if you wish to publish to pub.dev

# The following defines the version and build number for your application.
# A version number is three numbers separated by dots, like 1.2.43
# followed by an optional build number separated by a +.
# Both the version and the builder number may be overridden in flutter
# build by specifying --build-name and --build-number, respectively.
# In Android, build-name is used as versionName while build-number used as versionCode.

# In iOS, build-name is used as CFBundleShortVersionString while build-number used as CFBundleVersion.

Your Flutter probably had a problem while installing.

You can use Git commands to fix it.

Run these commands on your Flutter SDK, not on your project files.

git clean -xfd
git stash save --keep-index
git stash drop
git pull
flutter doctor

You can check this thread on GitHub.

Go to the terminal and upgrade the SDK version by the

flutter upgrade

Command. This command is for both Mac and Windows.

If it shows an error, run

flutter upgrade --force
