adjust the width of itms in owl-carouesl in : react js

i want to add the following code in my react js funtional component how can i achive that

i get error $ is not a funtion

$('.owl-carousel').owlCarousel({
    margin:10,
    loop:true,
    autoWidth:true,
    items:1
})

each item in owlCarousel should fill the entire width of the screen for that i want to use items: 1 i want to add the following code in my react js funtional component how can i achive that in react funtional component
