Apply yaml file using k8s SDK

Viewed 168

I’ve the following yaml which I need to apply using the K8S go sdk (and not k8s cli) I didn’t find a way with the go sdk as it is custom resource, any idea how I can apply it via code to k8s?

This is the file

Any example will be very helpful!

You can use the k8sutil repo, see the apply example:

package main

import (
    "context"
    "flag"
    "log"
    "path/filepath"

    "github.com/pytimer/k8sutil/apply"

    "k8s.io/client-go/discovery"
    "k8s.io/client-go/dynamic"
    "k8s.io/client-go/tools/clientcmd"
    "k8s.io/client-go/util/homedir"
)

const applyStr = `
apiVersion: apps/v1
kind: Deployment
metadata:
  name: nginx
spec:
  replicas: 1
  selector:
    matchLabels:
      app: nginx
  template:

    spec:

func main() {
    var kubeconfig *string
    if home := homedir.HomeDir(); home != "" {
        kubeconfig = flag.String("kubeconfig", filepath.Join(home, ".kube", "config"), "(optional) absolute path to the kubeconfig file")
    } else {
        kubeconfig = flag.String("kubeconfig", "", "absolute path to the kubeconfig file")
    }
    flag.Parse()

    // use the current context in kubeconfig
    config, err := clientcmd.BuildConfigFromFlags("", *kubeconfig)
    if err != nil {
        panic(err.Error())
