I try to pass Java object as composite type to Postgresql function using Spring JPA. My type definition and function declaration:

I can run it using SQL by calling:
SELECT * FROM my_function('(some_text,477)');
I try to run this query using Spring JPA. I've created repository method:
@Query(value = "SELECT * FROM my_function(CAST(:param1 as complex));", nativeQuery = true)

Complex class is just POJO:

My current working workaround is changing JPA method to:
@Query(value = "SELECT * FROM my_function(CAST(:param1 as complex));", nativeQuery = true)
List<ResultType> myFunction(@Param("param1") String param1);
And calling it that way:
repository.myFunction(new Complex("some_text", 477).toString());
Where toString() generates "(some_text,477)".
Is there a way to pass the object to repository method without needing to convert it to String?
