Here's a simple example with lapply and iris dataset -
library(shiny)
dat <- iris
x<-names(dat)
ui <- fluidPage({
uiOutput('textInput')
})
server <- function(input, output) {
output$textInput <- renderUI({
lapply(x, function(name) textInput(name, name))
})
}
