OS X: library not found for -licudata

Viewed 1424

I'm trying to build a C++ project that I originally developed for Linux on MAC OS X 10.15.7. During linking, a dependency (I believe Boost) requires the -licudata flag. This leads to a "library not found" error. So far I have not been able to figure out how to resolve this, I have installed boost@1.75 via brew but that is seemingly not enough.
