The "paragraph" entity type does not exist. in Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityTypeManager->getDefinition()

On Drupal 8.8.8 with paragraphs:^1.12, getting this error:

The "paragraph" entity type does not exist. in Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityTypeManager->getDefinition() 

Same error with other versions of paragraphs.
