How to config Nginx serves desktop version and mobile version from two different folders

I have only one subdomain name available, e.g. https://sport.abc.com, I would like to serve desktop version from a folder called /wwwroot/sport.abc.com/dist/sport/desktop/ , however when detecting it's a mobile client, serve from a different folder /wwwroot/sport.abc.com/dist/sport/mobile/ How to modify my current Nginx config file to serve mobile browser?

my current Nginx config is the following

    listen 80;
    server_name   sport.abc.com;

If you are going to check the User-Agent header to detect whether the client used mobile device or not, you can use this configuration:

map $http_user_agent $webroot {
    "~<your_regex_to_detect_mobile_user_agent>"  mobile;
    default  desktop;
}

server {
    ...
    root /wwwroot/sport.abc.com/dist/sport/$webroot/;
    ...
}

What regex to use is up to you. You can check this answer. DetectMobileBrowsers site propose these regexes:

If you'll use configuration like this, I recommend to enable the PCRE JIT feature for some performance benefit if your system PCRE library allows to do it.
