I am developing a spring boot application and using HikariCP connection pool and JDBC Template to insert data into Database.But when I start I get the error.

I am not sure which is causing this error because all my dependencies are there and it runs well in another application as well. Any help is appreciated.

In my case the value of @PropertySource was wrong. I was passed the wrong path. You should set your local path here.

I've pulled the project, but I did not change the paths in @PropertySource.

@PropertySource(value = {"${example.RESOURCES_PATH:classpath:}/local/application.properties"}).

in my case my properties files were in local folder.

I was also facing java.lang.IllegalStateException: ApplicationEventMulticaster not initialized - call 'refresh' problem in eclipse.

The mistake that i was doing(unknowingly) was that i was running it from project path /somepath while i had to run it from /somepath/anotherpath ie path directory problem.

So where i ran apache from /somepath/anotherpath it started.

This problem can also occur due to jar version mismatch,but my case was a bit strange.

For me, it was because of a transitive dependency on EclipseLink (a little older ORM library).

I copy here the code in Gradle to exclude a specific transitive dependency. Maybe it is useful for someone in this context.

This issue mostly occur due to DataSource depedency conflict.In my case I had DataStax Cassandra dependency and Springboot Cassandra dependency both in my POM and it was throwing the same exception. Once I remove and one the issue got resolved.

I guess you might be missing the package name for the root class. Sounds silly but a probable error
