Let suppose I have a matplotlib's gridspec instance in a python script. What I want to do is to create two axis and have the plot in one axis and the legend in the other one. Something like
import numpy as np
from matplotlib import gridspec, pyplot as plt
x = np.linspace(0,100)
y = np.sin(x)
gs = gridspec.GridSpec( 100, 100 )
ax1 = fig.add_subplot(gs[ :50, : ])
ax2 = fig.add_subplot(gs[ 55:, : ])
ax1.plot( s, y, label=r'sine' )
ax2.legend() # ?? Here I want legend of ax1
plt.show()
Is there any way of doing that?
