Get image src with jQuery

<img src="../img/arnold.png" alt="Arnold">

How do I get with jQuery absolute path of this image?

img.attr("src") gives me just "../img/arnold.png", should give something like "http://site.com/data/2011/img/arnold.png" (full url).
