I would like to know if it is necessary for me to specify it like this:
<link rel="icon" href="[URL]" type="image/x-icon" />
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="[URL]" type="image/x-icon" />
or can I just include it in the root and the browser will look for it?
Also what's the difference between rel="icon" and rel="shortcut" ?
