OpenGL FreeType some latters are floating

When using freetype on opengl some letters appear to be on a higher position than they are supposed to be. Letters that should be lower, such as p or g, are instead higher.

I think this is because the code is not lowering the latters and just use the default position it uses for all letters, but since I'm a bit inexperienced with free type I couldn't figure out how to fix this. Here is my code:

Edit: Using different fonts does not effect this bug, it still remains. It seems like bearing of letters g and p are not negative as they are supposed to be.
