Can't Ping FQDN, Can Ping IP, Dig Gives Correct IP<=>FQDN Mapping

Viewed 14

So the Title really says it all. From a Rocky Linux 8.6 box:

  • I can't ping another local server via its FQDN.
  • I can ping the other server via its IP Address
  • Dig (on the Rocky box) is returning the correct IP Address to FQND Mapping, both forward and reverse

Obviously(?) its some sort of DNS issue (maybe?), but I'll be horn-swaggled if I can figure it out.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance
