Compiling HelenOS using ninja gives error "ninja: no work to do"

I am trying to compile HelenOS, the way I'm pretty sure compile it by is using the command "ninja", but when I use the command it will give an error saying ninja: no work to do, if anyone can help that'd be great, thanks. Here is a link to the GitHub: https://github.com/HelenOS/helenos
