state-of-art verfication algorithms for off-line approximate string matching

I find it extremely hard for me to search the state-of-art algorithms for a specific field. I spent a great amount of time looking for algorithms for the verification part after filtering for off-line approximate string matching. But what I found, were all like 10 years ago. Does someone know some of them more than LSH and DivideSkip? Thanks a lot.
