Can I manage different system versions with asdf?

on my system (void linux, but this is the case for other) you can install php 7.4 8.0 and 8.1. The executables are php php8.0 and php8.1. Is it possible to use asdf to just switch between these instead of installing the versions with asdf? Thanks.
