vncagent crashes and doesn't restart with vncserver

Viewed 10

I have vncserver (from RealVNC) running on Ubuntu 22.04. After a reboot, it automatically starts up and runs just fine for a while.

Eventually (usually after less than a day), I get a "not currently listening for cloud connections" error from VNC Viewer when trying to sign in to the machine.

I've noticed that whenever this happens, vncagent is missing from the list of tasks on the host machine. Restarting vncserver doesn't result in vncagent being restarted, and vncagent apparently can't be run directly.

So far the only fix I've found is to reboot. Any ideas for how to fix this without reboot, or (even better) how to prevent the issue?
