Selenium webdriver (java) - Responsive testing in android/iphone/tablet - detect empty spaces on website

I want to do responsive testing using Selenium webdriver (Java) for devices like android, iphone, tablet and laptop. I am not being able to detect empty spaces which come up on the website in such devices.
