Do I need to use the same bandwidth for all animal kernel densities to compare them?

I am using kernel densities in ArcGIS Pro to create 95% volume contours to use as home ranges of 18 individual animals over 4 seasons (72 total home ranges). I then want to compare the overlap of those home ranges. Do I need to use the same bandwidth number for all animals for all seasons? Or can I calculate a bandwidth for each animal, each season and still make comparisons based on those kernel densities?
