all - newbie to sharepoint, powerapps, powerautomate etc, so looking for some advice on how to architect what I'm trying to accomplish. To be as brief as possible:
- I have numerous IT assets in an Excel workbook in various sheets that I've compiled from various network discovery tools.
- Each of the assets is assigned to one of our 440+ stores and to our field technician who is responsible for the assets and - soon to hopefully be able to add/edit those assets ideally using user/phone-friendly app.
- My initial thinking is to create a MS List in Sharepoint from the Excel sheet(struggling with this a bit as I keep getting a message that says that some of the data being imported does not match the format of where it is being imported into lists).
- Once imported to a list, my thought is to create a form from the list(s), that the field technicians can then use to add/update assets - only those assigned to them and/or their store(s) however - on their phone.
- As the field techs add/update the assets, I want the adds/updates to flow back into the related appropriate list which I can then export, connect up with a true asset mgt tool, etc.
- Key here is that the field techs should only be able to view and modify the assets in the stores they are responsible for so item/row level security would be needed.
Any suggested combination of tools within the MS Power Platform 'ecosystem' that anyone can recommend?
