Making mandatory cells on sharepoint

I want to make cells mandatory in a sharepoint document that a few people have access update on a regular basis. I know how to do it by VBA in excel but I want to do the same thing for a sharepoint document. I have tried to do it on smartsheet but I would prefer doing it on the sharepoint file itself, instead of creating a form that is updated on excel because the users often update the sharepoint with new information daily. I also tried to use Power Automate but I can't figure out which condition codes to use because i haven't worked with it yet.
