calculating real roll axis of moving 3d object

Viewed 8

i am kinda out of ideas, or to be more exact, out of knowledge xD

anyhow, ill try to explain what i am trying todo. i have a gyro sensor with 3 axis. the object does rotate around all those 3.

i want to get the corrected roll axis, meaning, the object is mounted to a vehicle (say a bicycle or motorcycle), so one could grab the default zero position, and then as the vehicle moves, grab the axis and do some math.

so far i have it pretty ok-ish, my main problem is, as the pitch of the object increases/decreases, the roll value also gets quite a bit away from reality.

any ideas how this is solvable?
