I have a 29 GB TrueCrypt file. It might be a backup from my old laptop that 14-year-old me created in 2018. It’s just that I have no idea what password I chose. It might just have been a bunch of random letters but it could also well be a full 15 digit autogenerated password.
Reading online about TrueCrypt, it says that it is no longer safe to use because it can be decrypted rather easily. Is that true and if so, how would I best go about this? I have no experience with Linux / Bruteforcing whatsover. But I would really like to know what’s in there.
