I am here to solve this problem, but I need reputation to answer this...It will usually happen when you update your phone with waze or android auto, or maybe android update and you dont reboot the phone....when you connect it using a cable, it will charge your phone, but wont recognize so you cant upload or download files to phone or vice and versa...JUST UPDATE AND THEN REBOOT THE PHONE
