I just bought Huawei freebuds pro 2 and used to have the pro 1. When I used to use pro 1 to record voice messages on WhatsApp it used to pick up the surrounding noise terribly to the extent that if not a very quite place then the other side literally hears nothing but noise and barely understand anything from the message asking me to resend it! I thought it could be the earbuds ANC is not good. Luckily/unluckily whatever you call it, I lost the pro 1 and I just bought the pro2. surprisingly, same issue on WhatsApp it picks up noise like hell! I now have suspicion that it does not make any sense to be the headset as this is truly the best in market after airpods and the new pro2 top feature is even better ANC and wider band than prev gen but still same issue! I started investigating by recording my voice using the android voice recorder app in the same noisy environment and doing the same with whatsapp voice messages. Truly surprisingly, the audio recorded with the recorder app separates the noise very well and my voice is very well heard, meanwhile with WhatsApp you can barely understand what I'm saying! Ironically, I did the test using ANC on and off and in both cases I can hear my voice clearly in the recorder app but cannot in whatsapp.
Any clue on why is this happneing? anyone went through this? is it a driver/codec problem used by whatsapp? any suggestion or previous experience is highly appreciatd.
p.s. I have galaxy S22 phone with latest android.
