log in to linux ( active directory) / windows only with ubikey 2FA

Is it possible to log in to Linux and/or Windows only with YubiKey 2fa key without the need to type the password ?

I look for secure way to log in to my system without the need to type the password, I stumbled on something called pam-u2f on YubiKey side, but I do not understand if this is only additional layer of protection (I will be unable to log in if I do not insert the key), and still will have to type my password? or is it possible that the system only asks me for the 2fa key?

I use mostly Linux that has an active directory account, and sometimes I use windows. Because the same password is used for windows, Linux, MS Office, teams, outlook and other services (it is not my choice those accounts are linked, that is why they have the same password). I need to change the password regularly, and I prefer strong randomly generated passwords, but this is just painful to type in when I want to just log in
