In Jboss our webapplication have to update a record in database but should not wait for the triggers to complete their process

Our web application timing out on a record update.

When a record (just 1 record) updated from our application, it is timing out in set timeout.

I wanted a trigger to take care of some process based on record entered.

But the application should take back the control and not Wait for trigger to complete the process.

Could any one give any Idea how to configure this case.
