As of 4:14 PM PDT 9/19/2022 my Avast virus checker is saying python.org's version python 3.10.7 is undownloadable because infected with a virus called "blacklist".
Is this real, or is my system having a bad day?

I would recommend running a full scan of your system to see if there are any other viruses present. If the scan does not find any other viruses, then it is likely that your system is having a bad day.
