Does Cloudflare apps work with Google Sites?

So I'm working on a business and using Google Sites as my site host provider. I have a custom domain for Google Sites, and that custom domain works like a charm (never had any problems with the domain). However, I would like to spice up the website a bit, so I changed the Nameserver to Cloudflare's name servers so I can use Cloudflare's apps. However, after installing apps with Cloudflare, I checked to see the website, and there was no changes. It looked the exact same as before I even changed to Cloudflare. So, I went to investigation, using VPN's, web proxies, proxies, etc.. and I realized that web-proxies shown the cloudflare apps, but the root domain didn't. If anyone has any idea on to why it's not showing the apps on the actual domain, then please let me know.
