Range slider appearing only in one fixed place when i double clicked

Im using a simple range slider to increase the width of the connection/link, So there is diagram in json with some nodes and links, when i double click on any link the range slider should appear to increase or decrease the width of the link near that link or near the mouse cursor where i double clicked, but whatever the link i choose it is appearing only in one position/place, is there a way to make the range slider appear near the area where i have double clicked ?
