I need something that can display local tile maps efficiently and be entirely offline. MapControl works well for my needs but says:
Warning: MapServiceToken not specified
Is there any way to get around this? Or is there an alternative I can use (cannot use open source projects)
Maybe you could take a look at the Offline Maps APIs here: Windows.Services.Maps.OfflineMaps Namespace.
As is mentioned in Maps and location overview : Now, you can use classes in the Windows.Services.Maps.OfflineMaps namespace to find downloaded packages in a given area.
You could also check how to use these API in the official sample here: MapControl sample.
