MiFARE Classic 1K/4K Byte Order

Sometimes I see descriptions of MiFARE Classic memory dumps in reverse order, e.g.:https://www.fuzzysecurity.com/tutorials/rfid/2.html

but others like Wikipedia have them in regular order:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIFARE#Byte_layout

Is there a technical reason for this? Does one represent the physical layout of EEPROM?
