I am a grad student at the University of Colorado who is hoping to use the private Google Extended Trends API for Health (GETH); I submitted the Google Trends API Request form and received approval within two days. However, I did not receive any information regarding an API key and have not received any responses when I asked follow up questions of the Trends API support email address. There is also next to no documentation. This was over six weeks ago.
I've reached out to some other researchers who have published papers using GETH over the last two years as well as a few people with GitHub code that uses the GETH API. Unfortunately, none of them can provide me with any answers about how I am supposed to get an API key. Additionally, one has told me the Trends API support email has become unresponsive to their emails lately.
Does anybody know what's up, or if I am doing something wrong? For now I am accessing the regular Google Trends through pytrends, but the un-scaled and un-rounded raw search probability data from GETH would be much more useful for me.
