mod front_of_house {
pub mod hosting {
pub fn add_to_waitlist() {}
}
}
use self::front_of_house::hosting;
pub fn eat_at_restaurant() {
hosting::add_to_waitlist();
hosting::add_to_waitlist();
hosting::add_to_waitlist();
}
The code is from Rust Book. In this case, if using the relative path, why bother to use self? I find that use front_of_house::hosting works well here.
So, any necessary reason to introduce self here?
