Duplicates in yahoo sent mail items

Why does my linked Gmail in Yahoo keep displaying duplicates in the sent folder whenever I'm mailing someone from Yahoo? It's happening only in my sent folder, not sending duplicates to others.

There could be a few reasons for this. One reason could be that you have your Gmail account set to keep a copy of sent messages in both your Gmail Sent folder and your Yahoo Sent folder. To check if this is the case, log in to your Gmail account and go to the Settings page. Under the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab, check to see if the “Enable IMAP” option is selected. If it is, then uncheck the box next to “When a message is sent from Gmail, automatically place a copy in:” and select “Do not save copies of sent messages.”

Another possibility is that you have configured your Gmail account to archive all messages (including sent messages) instead of deleting them. To check this, log in to your Gmail account and go to the Settings page. Under the “General” tab, look for the “Archiving options” section. If the “Archive all messages (including Spam)” option is selected, try changing it to “Delete messages forever.”

If neither of these options solves the problem, it's possible that your Yahoo account has been hacked and someone is using it to send spam messages. In this case, you should change your Yahoo password and enable two-step verification for your account.
